Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking a Senior Engineer, DevOps to lead platform engineering and transform deployment delivery through automation. You will drive IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization, embedding security checks and reliable infrastructure practices across fleets and IT environments.

The role supervises a 3–5 person team, partners with security and product stakeholders, and advances a cloud-native DevSecOps program within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability, or infrastructure automation roles.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small technical team is preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code in production environments.
• Strong Linux and container/Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with public cloud platforms; OCI experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements the target DevOps operating model with IaC and automated provisioning.
• Leads a small team (3‑5 FTEs) and fosters collaboration across teams.
• Builds and operates CI/CD pipelines and platform automation with Kubernetes and software‑defined networking.
• Implements DevSecOps and shift‑left practices with security checks in pipelines.
• Documents automation and provides training to engineering and operations teams.
