Job summary

Apple Inc. Cupertino invites an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure engineer to design and build scalable infrastructure for Apple News, Stocks, Weather, and Creator Studio. You will own CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, and automation tooling across AWS and on-prem environments.

You will partner with engineering and SRE teams to implement GitOps workflows, IaC, and robust deployment standards while supporting millions of concurrent users and a variety of backend services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a DevOps or infrastructure-focused role for large-scale systems
• Expert-level Kubernetes and container orchestration on EKS or similar
• Advanced scripting in Python, Bash, Groovy or Java for automation
• Deep CI/CD expertise with ArgoCD, Jenkins, Gradle/Maven and GitOps
• Experience managing cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and services
• Hands-on with IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation
• Solid Linux, networking knowledge and debugging distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple Apple services
• Manage and scale large Kubernetes deployments on EKS and on-prem clusters
• Develop internal tooling and automation scripts
• Architect and maintain IaC solutions across AWS and Apple environments
• Leverage AWS services to support scalable backend systems
• Define deployment standards and upgrade strategies with SRE teams
• Monitor infrastructure health and ensure high availability for millions of users
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and platform strategies as the team grows
