Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer – Shockwave Medical to join our Santa Clara, CA team.

Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments and advancing IVL for calcified cardiovascular disease. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain robust automation tools and delivery pipelines, enabling rapid, reliable software development within our R&D ecosystem.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
5–8 years of DevOps experience with CI/CD and multiple integrations.
Proficient in Python, Terraform, Bash, and automation tooling.
Experience with Podman or Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiar with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC, SaaS/SaaS.
Experience with code scanning, security standards, and SBOMs.
Knowledge of MISRA, VectorCast, Coverity, Linters, and Snyk is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code and automation.
Automate the software delivery pipeline using Jenkins, Ansible or Salt, and containerization.
Implement logging and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
Lead CI/CD initiatives and modernize pipelines across the stack.
Collaborate with dev teams on secure, scalable delivery in an IoT/embedded context.
