Job summary

Erias Ventures in Augusta, GA is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration, experience with AWS and Big Data solutions, automation, scripting, containers, and infrastructure as code.

You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability and scalability of services on-site for Army customers.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda)
• Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling and management
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (Security+) or ability to obtain
• Ability to work on customer site in Augusta, GA 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS
• Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues
• Continuously improve processes and tools for high availability and performance
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends
• Other duties as assigned
