Job summary

Yalo is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on Kubernetes, Argo, and Kafka. The role emphasizes cost optimization, automation, and collaboration across teams.

You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, optimize cloud resources, and promote DevOps best practices to drive reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, GCP, Argo, cloud architecture, and Kafka.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
• Experience in cost optimization and managing cloud budgets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Argo to ensure efficient and automated deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability and performance.
• Architect and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
• Integrate and manage Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Implement cost optimization strategies to ensure efficient use of cloud resources and reduce operational expenses.
• Promote DevOps best practices and culture across the organization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with business goals.
