Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced professional to containerize applications and migrate from a VM setup, with scalable Kubernetes-based architectures deployed globally.

You will collaborate with development, engineers and cloud providers to enable cloud adoption and migration strategies. Requirements include 5+ years in IT, Kubernetes experience (CKA preferred), and proficiency in at least one language (Python/Go/JavaScript/Ruby).

Qualifications

• Must have Kubernetes experience (CKA preferred).
• Experience with at least one service mesh platform (Istio, Consul, etc.).
• Experience managing Linux environments with apps like Redis, ElasticSearch, etc.
• Familiar with Logging/Monitoring/Alerts platforms (Prometheus, Alertmanager).
• Experience in at least one of: Python, Go, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Security hardening for compliance frameworks (CIS Benchmark, etc.).
• Experience designing and working in AWS or Azure at an enterprise level.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and technologies.
• A degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement containerization and Kubernetes capabilities with scalable architecture for global deployment.
• Collaborate with development and cloud service providers to develop cloud adoption and migration strategies.
• Drive architectural decisions to meet business requirements.
• Engineer scalable and highly available solutions using best practices.
• Work with Developers, Systems Operations, and vendors to resolve integration challenges.
• Propose tools and methodologies and create proof-of-concept implementations.
• Decompose large systems into manageable subsystems for scalable ownership.
• Create and maintain technical docs and use Git for version control.
