Job summary

Eight Eleven Group, LLC is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer in Indianapolis, IN for a hybrid role focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment excellence. You will design and maintain scalable AWS environments, build IaC with Terraform, and manage CI/CD pipelines across Kubernetes clusters.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree and 2+ years of DevOps experience, with hands-on expertise in Terraform, AWS, Docker, and monitoring tools like Datadog.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Management, or a related field.
• Two years of DevOps engineering experience as described above.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Redshift, Load Balancers).
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and integrating AWS Lambda and Code Pipeline for deployments.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience managing containerized workloads and deployments in Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and using JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS cloud environments with auto-scaling and high availability strategies.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform and AWS Lambda for automated deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Manage containerized workloads and deployments in Kubernetes (including AWS EKS).
• Participate in Agile processes and maintain documentation in Confluence and JIRA.
• Implement monitoring and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog across cloud and on-prem.
