Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join an agile team responsible for a distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for High-Performance Computing systems. You will build telemetry, manage event streams with message brokers, and leverage Splunk for ingestion, storage, and visualization to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical HPC infrastructure.

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 7+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma/GED, PLUS 9+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.
• Rust and Python software development experience.
• Splunk platform experience for data collection, storage, and dashboards.
• Log ingestion and messaging with Syslog-ng, rsyslog and Kafka.
• IaC with Ansible.
• Linux CLI and Bash scripting for automation.
• GitLab CI and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems.
• Build telemetry collection mechanisms and manage event streams via message brokers.
• Leverage Splunk for data ingestion, storage, and visualization to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
