Job summary

Greenbone AG in Germany seeks a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer to build and operate infrastructure for development and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD. You will automate workflows with Python, Go, Bash, and YAML, and develop internal tooling for platform operations.

Responsibilities include designing and optimizing GitHub Actions workflows for deployment, testing, and release automation, and providing data for engineering and analysis.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role within a software development organization.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, secrets management, and workflow optimization.
• Experience administering Linux-based systems.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and relational databases.
• Experience with scripting and automation, preferably using Python or Bash.
• Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Helm.
• A structured, proactive, and self-driven way of working.
• Passion for improving automation, reliability, and developer experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English (German would be a plus).
• Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance as part of the hiring process.
