Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering roles supporting complex environments.
• Proficient in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD ecosystems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Proven ability to architect reliable, scalable infrastructure across large engineering environments.
• Strong Kubernetes experience including deployment and optimization of production workloads.
• Experience with IaC and observability tooling across cloud/on‑prem environments.

• Design, build and evolve shared platform capabilities focusing on reliability, scalability, automation and efficiency.
• Architect and improve deployment frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for faster software delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern DevOps practices across teams, including IaC, observability and reliability tooling.
• Develop tooling using Python or Go to improve platform performance and reduce complexity.
• Build, operate and optimize containerised environments and orchestration tooling.

Role Overview

We’re representing a leading global investment firm building out its platform engineering capability across a highly sophisticated trading technology environment. This is an opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the platforms, automation and engineering practices that underpin critical technology systems across the organisation. Working at the intersection of infrastructure, software engineering and reliability, you’ll help shape scalable solutions that improve developer velocity, operational resilience and the long-term evolution of the firm’s technology estate. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve shared platform capabilities that are leveraged across the organisation, with a focus on reliability, scalability, automation and operational efficiency
• Architect and improve deployment frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows that enable teams to deliver software faster and with greater confidence
• Drive the adoption of modern SRE and DevOps practices across development teams, including infrastructure as code, observability, automation, service reliability and continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain tooling and automation solutions using modern programming languages such as Python or Go, improving platform performance and reducing operational complexity
• Build, operate and optimise containerised environments, including Kubernetes platforms and associated orchestration tooling
• Partner with software engineers and technology teams to improve application resilience, fault tolerance and production readiness through hands‑on engineering support, mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to incident response, production support and on‑call responsibilities, helping maintain the reliability of business‑critical technology platforms

What You’ll Bring…

• 6+ years’ experience working within DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering roles supporting complex, distributed technology environments
• Strong software engineering capability with practical experience using Python, Go or similar programming languages to build automation and infrastructure solutions
• Deep experience designing and managing CI/CD ecosystems, including tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent platforms
• Proven ability to architect reliable, scalable infrastructure and software solutions across large engineering environments
• Strong expertise with container technologies and Kubernetes, including deploying, managing and optimising production workloads
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and building automation around modern platform services
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code practices, with hands‑on experience using technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes Operators
• Experience implementing and operating observability solutions across production environments, including monitoring, logging and reliability tooling
• Exposure to both cloud and on‑premises infrastructure environments, ideally with experience working within AWS-based platforms
