Job summary

1X is seeking a Senior DevOps/SRE to own the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure end-to-end. You’ll drive architecture decisions, incident response, and build automation and self-service tooling for the broader engineering team.

We value distributed systems expertise, IaC mindset, and a bias toward automation. Preferred experience includes AWS, Terraform, Python/Go, and security collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role.
• Hands-on production operation of a major cloud provider or large-scale on-prem infra.
• Experience with service-to-service communication, identity and auth.
• Production code in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code systems for provisioning and scaling.
• Build self-service tooling for engineers to handle cloud requests safely.
• Lead incident response with clear communication and post-incident remediations.
• Collaborate with security to strengthen cloud infrastructure security and reliability.
