Job summary

instinctools is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a client project focused on modernising infrastructure and migrating workloads from on-premises and Azure to AWS.

The role demands hands-on expertise across AWS, Azure, Terraform, and Kubernetes, with strong scripting in Python or Bash, and experience leading cloud migrations. You will design IaC, build CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with teams to accelerate digital transformation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps or platform engineering
• Proven experience migrating onpremises workloads to cloud
• Deep, hands-on AWS expertise
• Solid Azure background for migration context
• Production experience with Terraform at scale
• Hands-on experience with Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions
• Container orchestration using ECS/Fargate
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash
• Security-first mindset across cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead the Azure AWS cloud migration.
• Assess onpremises workloads and define lift-and-shift, refactor, or modernisation strategies.
• Design and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
• Manage containerised workloads on Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and ECS/Fargate.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability across all environments.
• Define and enforce security, access control, and compliance standards.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and drive toil reduction.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps culture.
