Job summary

Advanced Space, LLC is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure for mission‑critical aerospace workloads from Westminster, CO.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes platforms, ensuring secure by default patterns and reliable delivery across environments. You must have 8–12 years of experience, strong AWS and IaC skills, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressively responsible experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience designing and operating production AWS workloads with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Proficient with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes container platforms (EKS, Docker, Helm).
• Strong identity, security, and compliance mindset with IAM, SAML, OIDC, MFA and least-privilege design.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure cloud infrastructure for mission-critical workloads.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and deployment workflows using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Develop reliable CI/CD and Kubernetes platforms, including GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Helm-based deployments.
• Design and maintain advanced cloud networking across multi-account AWS environments, including VPCs, Gateways, and Direct Connect.
• Strengthen identity, security, and compliance with federated identity services and DevSecOps practices.
• Automate platform operations with Python tooling, observability, and incident response support.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams.
