Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Maritime and Intelligence Systems (MIS) Division seeks a DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level, Senior or Lead) for its Mission Operations team in Herndon, VA. This is a contract assignment through a Boeing-approved 3rd party.

You will automate, secure, and optimize complex computing environments for mission-critical platforms. The role emphasizes automation across Windows, Linux, and network services, with a focus on performance, security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph and US citizenship.
• 3+ years of experience in Development Operations (DevOps).
• 3+ years of scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, or similar.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up automation and tooling for installation and configuration of Windows and Linux servers and related software.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance with automation.
• Automate DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory configuration and management.
• Automate backups to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Automate security measures including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Document system configurations and generate reports on performance, security, and compliance.
