Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) to lead platform architecture, automation, and cloud infrastructure. Strong Linux/Windows experience, agile methods, and programming skills are required to optimize deployments and system operations.

The role emphasizes scripting, Puppet/Ansible, and CI/CD with AWS or PaaS. A $25,000 sign-on bonus is available and benefits include PTO, holidays, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or CS, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of DevOps/Platform engineering experience.
• Git and version control best practices including branching/merging.
• Linux and Windows system administration knowledge.
• Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Security practices, PCI compliance, and networking basics.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby/Java/Python/C/C++/Go).
• AWS cloud or virtualized server experience in PaaS environments.

Responsibilities

• Support development lifecycle including design, deployment and debugging.
• Build and maintain a release pipeline for secure production delivery.
• Automate deployments across environments with scripting and toolkits.
• Configure apps with Puppet/Ansible; maintain Jira/Confluence.
• Assist in designing web service infrastructure and deployments.
• Drive process improvements through automation.
