Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Engineer, DevOps to design, build, and operate the cloud foundation powering Live & Collect platforms across AWS and GCP. This is a hands-on role focusing on scalable infrastructure, AI/ML tooling, and mentoring engineers.

You will own core cloud services, implement IaC with Terraform, manage Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and drive reliability, cost efficiency, and observability across multi-cloud environments while ensuring security

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or SRE with AWS and GCP
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform preferred) and Kubernetes
• Hands-on database administration and tuning for Cloud Spanner, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and modern DevOps automation
• Familiarity with AI/ML tooling for infra automation/monitoring
• Strong scripting ability (Python/Go) for automation
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems and on-call readiness
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform
• Own core cloud platform services — Kubernetes, networking, and CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted tooling to improve infrastructure efficiency
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to architect cloud solutions for high-traffic systems
• Administer and tune databases (Cloud Spanner, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL) including backup/recovery
• Drive reliability and cost-efficiency across multi-cloud environments
• Champion DevOps best practices and observability standards
• Mentor engineers on cloud architecture and automation
• Participate in on-call rotation and resolve incidents to meet SLAs
• Contribute to security hardening and disaster-recovery planning
