Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the PISA DevOps team in Alexandria, VA. You will guide cloud and DevOps practices across multiple products, providing technical leadership and delivering scalable CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Copilot-enabled workflows, in a hybrid office setup two days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing systems in a large-scale production environment.
• 5+ years developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• 5+ years supporting Cloud Computing services, preferably AWS.
• 5+ years deploying, managing, and scaling containerized apps with Kubernetes.
• 5 years of Terraform for infrastructure as code provisioning.
• 5+ years scripting in Python or Bash or similar.
• 5+ years implementing GitHub Copilot or AI workflows in pipelines.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Product Roadmap: design deployments and enhancements while maintaining existing systems for performance and security.
• Pipeline Engineering: oversee CI/CD tools and infrastructure.
• Developer Support: assist developers with build requirements and status updates.
• Observability & Monitoring: implement logging, metrics, and alerting with Datadog, CloudWatch, and GitHub metrics.
• Security & Compliance: reduce vulnerabilities and support ISO-27001, SOC2 Type I & II.
• AI Integration: design and optimize AI agent services and GitHub Copilot workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code: manage Terraform and GitHub source control.
• DevOps Practices: maintain documentation and cross-team knowledge sharing.

What will you be doing in this role?

• ProductRoadmap-Solutioningnewdeploymentsandproductenhancementswhilemaintainingexistingsystemstoincludefunctionality,performanceandsecurity.

• Pipeline Engineering-Orchestrating and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of tools and infrastructure critical to the CI/CD pipeline.

• Developer Support-Interact with the software development organization, gathering build requirements, providing status updates,and deliveringDevOpsassignedtasks.

• Observability & Monitoring-Monitor/measure the efficacy of the automation infrastructureandimplementlogging, metrics and alerting systems usingtoolslike Datadog, AWS CloudWatch,GitHub metrics,etc.

• Security & Compliance–Reduce security vulnerabilities acrossassignedsystems and supportrequired compliance certifications,ISO-27001, SOC2 Type I & II.
