Job summary

Peraton is seeking a DevOps System Engineer in the United States to develop and automate CI/CD pipelines across on‑prem, OpenShift, and AWS environments. You will script in Groovy for Jenkins, manage Terraform templates, and deploy containerized microservices with Helm.

The role requires strong Linux experience, Bash and Python scripting, Java basics, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience in Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of Java fundamentals and container environments (OpenShift).
• Active DoD IAT II or higher certification; TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
• Write/modify Jenkins Groovy scripts and Terraform scripts.
• Troubleshoot pipelines across on-prem, OpenShift and AWS.
• Document features for developers and automate processes.
• Deploy microservices with Helm and integrate multiple tools.
• Collaborate with devs to onboard new microservices into pipelines.
• Automate installation of COTS products and monitor deployments.
• Identify and fix intermittent deployment issues.
