Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, installation, and optimization of robust CI/CD pipelines. You will drive best practices in DevOps, configuration management, and automated workflows for software delivery across the full stack.

You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations to ensure end-to-end pipeline reliability and compliance with regulatory standards, while mentoring teams on Git workflows and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional coding experience and 5+ years in coding design and development.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of version control, artifact repositories, and pipeline logging/monitoring.
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices and software life cycle in regulated environments.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements refinement, architecture discussions, and design reviews.
• Write clean, tested code and documentation, with unit and integration tests.
• Develop and manage automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pipeline reliability and performance.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline processes and implement metrics for health.
• Integrate tools for code quality, security scanning, and CI.
• Evaluate new technologies for pipeline automation and DevOps practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in pipelines.
• Guide teams in source control management and Git workflows.
