Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to ensure reliability, security, and scalability of Azure-based systems for a global client base.

You will design scalable cloud infrastructure, develop automation scripts, set up CI/CD pipelines, manage AKS containers, apply IaC with ARM/Terraform, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Remote role, CET TZ preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Azure.
Deep knowledge of Azure services and architecture (VMs, App Service, Functions, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.
Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
Familiarity with IaC and tools (ARM/Terraform).
Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning and configuration.
Establish and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related tools.
Manage containerized apps with AKS and orchestrate with Docker/Kubernetes.
Apply IaC principles to define and manage resources.
Set up monitoring and logging for Azure resources.
Ensure security and compliance of Azure environments.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
Develop disaster recovery plans and improve resilience.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise resources.
Document architectures and processes.

We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for one of our clients who would be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of Azure-based systems. What we are looking for:

5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Azure.
In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture, including Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and more.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (ARM templates, Terraform).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to understand requirements and implement effective cloud solutions.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure the resilience of Azure-based systems.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimise Azure resources, and implement best practices for efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation for Azure infrastructure, deployment processes, and best practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
