Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to lead the development and execution of our DevOps strategy. You will work with cross-functional teams to accelerate secure production deployments on AWS, using Terraform, Nomad, Consul, and Vault.

You will mentor junior engineers and uphold code review practices in Github, while ensuring uptime through proactive monitoring. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in DevOps, strong Linux scripting skills, and experience with security/compliance in

Qualifications

5+ years of DevOps experience with CI/CD and deployment
Strong AWS experience and cloud architecture
Experience with HashiCorp tools (Terraform/Nomad/Consul/Vault) in production
Proficient in Linux/Unix scripting (bash, python) and monitoring
Experience with security/compliance in DevOps environments, healthcare data experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy
Work with development, product, and the DevOps team to ensure rapid, confident production deployment
Design and deploy scalable, highly available infrastructure on AWS using Hashicorp tools
Collaborate with engineering to integrate work into the DevOps pipeline
Assist in managing the Github repository and enforce best practices for code review and branching
Monitor health and performance of production systems and troubleshoot issues
Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours incident response
Collaborate with security and compliance to meet industry standards
Provide guidance to DevOps Engineer I, II and mentor the team
Perform other duties as assigned
