Job summary

Captivation Software LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The role focuses on Linux administration, AWS infrastructure, and automation to support mission-critical environments at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD in a hybrid setting 2–3 days per week.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in DevOps or software development, strong AWS and configuration-management skills (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet), and DoD 8140/8570 compliance. U.S.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development with related degree.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with configuration-management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and deployment/management.
• Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling and management.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to improve infrastructure.
• Other duties as assigned.
