Job summary

CIMAR UK Ltd, now part of the company, is a leading provider in SaaS healthcare image management solutions. The DevOps Engineer will support and evolve AWS‑based infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD tooling, and automation to drive reliable software delivery across teams.

The role focuses on infrastructure automation, cloud operations, platform reliability, and continuous improvement to keep systems secure, scalable, and resilient in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering/cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs).
• Security-conscious design/operations for infra.
• Nice to have observability/monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Nice to have GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Nice to have AWS certification.
• Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or finance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using IaC.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms (EKS or similar) and cluster upgrades.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Monitor platform health, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
• Maintain cloud security practices including IAM, networking, secrets.
• Support development teams with tooling and onboarding.
• Manage container image pipelines and registries including security scans.
• Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation.
• Contribute to cost monitoring and optimization across cloud services.
