Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and security for Maryland state-focused platforms.

You will architect production-grade container orchestration with Amazon EKS and implement robust IaC using Terraform. You will design networking with Consul and App Mesh to ensure seamless microservices communication, and modernize deployments via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other relevant technical degrees.
• Eight+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems administration, or DevOps with a track record of enterprise platforms.
• Five+ years in a technical lead or senior DevOps role focusing on AWS infrastructure and containerization.
• Proven experience architecting/managing production Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of highly available Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS.
• Develop and execute immutable infrastructure provisioning with Terraform.
• Implement AWS App Mesh for traffic control, visibility, and security across microservices.
• Design and manage Consul for dynamic service discovery and config management.
• Orchestrate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for automated testing, security scanning, and deployment.
• Drive GitOps adoption for deployment and cluster configuration management.
• Enhance security posture with fine-grained IAM roles for Service Accounts and mesh policies.
• Collaborate with AI and App Dev teams to support high-compute workloads.
• Architect auto-scaling strategies (Karpenter/Cluster Autoscaler) for cost/performance.
