Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Maryland is seeking an experienced DevOps/Integration Engineer to design and maintain pipelines for C++ or Python apps, and to lead the integration of hardware, software, and network components into a cohesive system.

You will plan and execute integration and testing activities, identify defects, and implement automated scripts using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Collaboration with architects and PMs ensures on-schedule delivery and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years or more of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SE labor category level 3.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for C++ or Python applications.
• Develop and oversee the integration strategy for combining hardware, software, and network components into a cohesive system.
• Plan and execute integration and testing activities, including system-level tests, performance evaluations, and validation against requirements.
• Work with integration team to document, track and resolve reoccurring issues and system failures during testing and operational phases.
• Identify, debug, and correct defects in existing software, utilizing effective troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues efficiently.
• Implement automated testing and deployment scripts, utilizing tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects, and project managers, to ensure software meets user requirements and is delivered on schedule.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for pipelines, processes, and interfaces to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
