Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an early career Software Engineer to develop and maintain scalable DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines supporting efficient software delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, reliability, and system performance.

The role requires design, development, and documentation of software and pipelines, with potential after-hours support and deployments as needed.

Qualifications

• 8140 compliant certification required (Security+, CISSP, etc.).
• DoD Interim Secret Clearance requires US Citizenship.
• Must maintain a valid US passport.
• Travel to alternate work locations may be required (deployments).
• Experience coding in Python and Java, plus scripting in Bash and Powershell.
• Understanding of OO programming, REST API integration, and Git version control.
• Ability to script and test automation of software tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain complex software applications in Python, Java, Bash, and Powershell.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software-defined Networking (SDN) in an enterprise-scale network.
• Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD pipelines, architecture, configuration, and tooling guides.
• Develop and enhance automation scripts and services using Python or Java to improve DevOps workflows
• The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.
