Ardent is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team.

This is a Remote position. Candidates must be able to work normal business hours in the Eastern Time Zone.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and maintain enterprise-grade, production-ready tools used by thousands across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise in software development, cloud platforms, and DevSecOps with strong leadership, research, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, CI/CD automation, containerized application deployment, and enterprise security practices. This is a high-impact, remote-friendly role requiring independent productivity and agile team collaboration within a dynamic, security-conscious environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of DevSecOps and software development, developing enterprise-grade tools for thousands of users.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, Docker, and security scanning tools.
• Deploy containerized applications to AWS EKS, with monitoring via New Relic, Splunk, and other tools.
• Develop and share Docker images across the enterprise.
• Research and implement Zero Trust architectures and strategies.
• Improve technologies and processes within the team and enterprise, considering customer constraints.
• Enhance security practices throughout the SDLC, including key management, security scanning, and code quality.
• Lead, communicate, and collaborate across teams.
• Present analysis, findings, and strategies clearly to various organizational levels.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• 7+ years of software development experience, including full SDLC, full stack applications, micro-services, CI/CD, containerized applications, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Jira, Terraform, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud, or similar.
• Ability to work remotely in an agile environment with collaboration and dynamic requirements.
• BA or BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, and API development/documentation.
• Experience with e2e testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and environment setup/support.
• Experience with AWS services like IAM, RDS, S3, EC2.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust strategies and security automation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with open source and commercial tools.
