Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer to join the Specialized United States Infrastructure Operations team in Berkeley, MO. This role focuses on cloud transformation, DevSecOps automation, and secure cloud initiatives. The role includes guiding a team of senior and junior DevSecOps practitioners and driving cloud migrations, optimization, and Cloud First strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment for COTS and custom applications.
• Integrate DevSecOps tools to automate security checks and vulnerability assessments within CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the application lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevSecOps practitioners.
• Enhance operational security with robust monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Participate in Agile SAFE ceremonies, providing input on security and automation best practices.
• Apply networking and network security knowledge (VPC, subnets, VPNs, NACLs, Security Groups).
• Troubleshoot CI/CD, security tools, and operational security issues.
• Train teams on CI/CD, DevSecOps, and security best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards through automated checks and controls.
• Document CI/CD workflows, security protocols, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

• 3+ years of DevOps experience
• 3+ years scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, or similar)
• 3+ years with DevOps tools (GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, AWS CodeBuild/CodePipelines/CodeGuru)
• 3+ years of CI/CD experience in Agile environments
• 1+ year integrating SAST/DAST and vulnerability scanners into CI/CD
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), IaC (Terraform), and automation tools (Puppet/Ansible/Chef)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Current certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, Docker Certified Associate)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu, Docker)
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (NIST 800-53)
• Experience with network security and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Experience with serverless architectures and related security challenges

Pay and Benefits

Base pay range: $123,250.00/yr - $166,750.00/yr.
Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
