Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a Senior Development Engineer (DevOps) to design, develop, launch, and support our corporate DevOps pipeline operations. The role requires facilitating CI/CD automation and working with multiple software groups, with frequent interaction with stakeholders and senior leadership.

Responsibilities include administering Gitlab/Subversion, building and maintaining Docker images, automating processes, and delivering on time within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is required or equivalent.
• 8+ years managing DevOps operations with GitLab/GitHub.
• 2+ years containerization experience (Docker or ECS) on Windows and Linux.
• Experience with one or more major cloud providers (Azure, AWS).
• Demonstrated success delivering applications in mid-size corporations.
• Strong scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains Gitlab and Subversion.
• Architects and delivers DevOps pipeline operations supporting automated CI/CD for corporate releases.
• Creates and maintains Docker images and containers.
• Identifies and automates manual processes.
• Enhances build infrastructure, deployment, and DevOps processes.
• Works with JIRA and SharePoint.
• Develops and maintains software installation tools, processes, and packages.
• Creates and maintains DevOps policies and processes.
• Reuses common code base to support multiple programs.
• Delivers work on time per project schedule and budget.
• Mentors stakeholders and provides guidance.
• Addresses unique issues requiring data-driven analyses.
• Acts independently to determine methods for new assignments.
