Job summary

Brookdale seeks an IT professional to support a wide user base by administering systems, creating and managing device images, and providing escalation for complex issues. You will work with cross-functional teams to deploy updates, manage inventory, and improve security and efficiency across Brookdale's computing environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2–4 years with PC hardware and software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Two to four years of experience directly with PC hardware and software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers systems and processes that affect large numbers of employees or devices.
  • Creates and manages device images and provides system administration and escalation support.
  • Oversees centrally managed systems for inventory, updates and patch deployment; analyzes and tests images and applications.
  • Identifies productivity improvements and leads development of solutions.
  • Supports project teams with hardware and software rollouts as needed.
  • Travels for support and project work as required.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

Supports the Brookdale computing environment by administering systems and processes that primarily affect large numbers of employees or devices. Creates and manages device images, system administration, problem diagnosis, resolution & escalation, working with other IT teams to understand specific applications and systems, and education of end user services in specific application areas. Performs work with under minimal direction from supervisor; provides technical guidance to less experienced members of the team. This position serves as an escalation point for the EUS team for highly complex or high impact hardware and application issues.

  • Evaluates and proposes new hardware and software solutions for potential deployment to Brookdale employees. Provides feedback to EUS management with regards to viability.
  • Develops and manages images for end user devices.
  • Oversees centrally managed systems for, inventory, application/update deployment and patch management.
  • Provides advanced analysis and testing of all images, applications, updates and patches developed by the Device Administration team.
  • Analyzes, develops, and implements system improvements for enhanced security, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Identifies potential productivity and efficiency improvements to the Brookdale computing environment and leads development of appropriate solutions.
  • Oversees and executes large scale projects as directed by End User Services management.
  • Maintains record of project status and prepares activity report as requested.
  • Serves as an escalation point for the Helpdesk and Device teams for high level or high impact device issues.
  • Works directly with other IT teams to understand end user needs for new applications and systems.
  • May assist project teams with hardware and software rollouts as needed.
  • Stays informed about specific application and system changes that are being made at Brookdale by working with appropriate application and technology teams.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with IT staff, vendors, customers and management.
  • May be called upon to travel for support and project work.
  • Makes support decisions which are consistent with department and company computing policies.
  • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
