Job summary

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) is seeking a Senior Development Program Specialist or Development Program Manager to join our development operations team in Madison. This hybrid role supports Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and UW Athletics in collaboration with campus partners to advance donor relations and stewardship.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, attention to detail, and project management skills, with experience in higher education fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2+ years in higher education, nonprofit, or fundraising environment for Senior Specialist role; 5+ years for Manager level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail; sound judgment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison to campus partners and respond to inquiries while building donor relations.
• Collaborate on events, board meetings, and donor recognition activities.
• Coordinate with BI/CRM teams to compile data for strategic planning and stewardship.
• Assist with donor visits, including on-site logistics and hosting guests.
• Prepare and review gift agreements and related documentation.
