Job summary

City Year San Antonio is seeking a Senior Development Manager to execute the fundraising strategy, cultivate major gifts, and manage donor relationships. Based in San Antonio with hybrid work options, you will work closely with the Executive Director to meet annual revenue goals and grow City Year’s philanthropic partnerships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive fundraising or relationship management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, business administration, marketing, fundraising, or related field; or comparable professional experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States; background clearance for work with school-age children if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of a site-specific fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals (~$1M).
• Inspire, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with emphasis on major gifts and multi-year commitments.
• Develop and deepen institutional partnerships with corporations and foundations; steward Team Sponsors at $100k+ level.
• Collaborate with national Development team on multi-site partnerships.
• Oversee grant proposals and funder reporting; ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Manage a donor portfolio toward the site’s private revenue target and maintain donor records in Salesforce.

Position OverviewSince its founding, City Year has relied on corporate, foundation, and individual partners to create meaningful social change. In conjunction with the Executive Director, this position is responsible for executing the Development strategy that will allow City Year San Antonio to leverage the resources, talents, and skills of the philanthropic sector to build City Year San Antonio and create change in communities across the city. The Senior Development Manager will focus on supporting multi-year relationships with donors, identifying new funding sources, and managing existing donor relationships.
