Job summary

San Francisco Symphony is seeking a Deputy Director of Development (DDD) to provide strategic leadership for fundraising efforts and manage a team of nine development professionals. The DDD will partner with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to enhance the organization’s philanthropic initiatives.

Responsibilities include overseeing major gifts and organizational strategy, managing donor engagement, and contributing to fundraising growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fundraising and a passion for the arts.

The position requires periodic travel throughout California and attendance at evening and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior fundraising role.
• Proven track record of managing significant fundraising portfolios.
