Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Senior Development Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different sectors, including construction, energy, municipalities, and schools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of savings calculations, solar energy, measurement, verification, M&V, IPMVP, cost controls, design, commissioning, and the use of software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Development Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and development of various engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Performing savings calculations and energy audits to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost savings.
  • Working with municipalities and schools to implement solar energy projects, including system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Conducting measurement and verification (M&V) activities in accordance with the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
  • Implementing cost controls to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Procore for design and project management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including construction, procurement, and finance, to ensure project success.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporating them into your work.
Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in engineering, with a focus on energy, construction, municipalities, and schools.
  • Proven experience with savings calculations, solar energy, measurement, verification, M&V, IPMVP, and cost controls.
  • Strong design and commissioning skills, with experience using software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Procore.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
