Job summary
Henderson James LLC seeks a Senior Development Engineer I to lead the technical development of a thermal portfolio in the US, from concept through FEED to final investment decision. You will own the technical side, manage layouts, RFPs, and equipment specs, and coordinate SMEs and consultants.
The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in thermal power with FEED-stage experience, plus knowledge of permitting and plant performance modeling tools.

As Senior Development Engineer you will lead the technical development of a thermal portfolio - from concept through FEED to final investment decision, owning the technical side of US thermal projects. You'll lead technical/engineering work on US thermal development projects, concept through FID, direct internal SMEs and external consultants on preliminary engineering scope and deliverables and own project layouts, technical RFPs, and equipment specification and selection.
- BS in Engineering
- 5+ years in thermal power generation
- FEED-stage gas project management, or equivalent multi-disciplinary engineering leadership
- Simple cycle, combined cycle, repowering, conversion, or brownfield expansion experience
- Working knowledge of permitting, environmental regs, and plant performance modeling tools
- Publicly listed IPP with huge financial backing offering get security and development opportunities
- Work on cutting edge industry projects in an area of power generation that has never been in more demand
- Genuine autonomy - this role is actively looking for someone that can work autonomously and lead front the front
