Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a communications professional to craft a wide range of fundraising materials for prospective donors, foundations, and volunteers. You will research, write, and edit high-level communications and reports, coordinating with MBSD and design teams to produce compelling content.

Under supervision, you may manage projects and timelines, and assist with technical or scientific materials for manuals or journals. A background in journalism or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in related field.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism, English, or communications.

Responsibilities

• Write a broad spectrum of fundraising communications for prospective donors and foundations.
• Project manage the team’s activity and ensure timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with MBSD teams including Communications and design.
• Research, write, and edit analytic or highly specialized publications.
• Assist with writing/editing technical or scientific material when needed.
