Senior Development Associate - Individual Giving

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Senior Development Associate, Data Analytics and Campaign Operations, will play a key role in the daily operations of the individual giving team. This position focuses on database management, campaign coordination, data analysis, and reporting to support fundraising initiatives and revenue growth. The role offers opportunities to work across teams to enhance revenue from family foundations and align efforts between individual and institutional giving teams.

Responsibilities and Duties
Data Governance, Data Management, and Performance Metrics (60%)
  • Create reports and dashboards in Salesforce to monitor KPIs, revenue, donor behavior, and campaign effectiveness. Use Salesforce and Excel for data analysis and visualization.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, provide insights, and inform fundraising strategies.
  • Develop metrics and visuals to evaluate and communicate the success of fundraising efforts to stakeholders, including senior management and the board.
  • Segment donor lists, perform data clean-up, and optimize campaigns.
  • Implement donor portfolio systems, identify prospects, and develop a donor lifecycle model to increase donor engagement and lifetime value.
  • Support revenue forecasting by maintaining models, collaborating with finance, and conducting 'what-if' analyses.
  • Establish policies to ensure data integrity and serve as a liaison with Salesforce vendors and consultants.
Campaign Operations Management (40%)
  • Lead campaign operations, collaborating internally and with external consultants on various fundraising campaigns.
  • Coordinate the production of communication assets, including mailings and digital appeals.
  • Manage campaign logistics using project management tools, develop timelines, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with teams and vendors to create and deploy campaign assets.
  • Assist with virtual and in-person donor events as needed.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Other Duties
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance the goals of the Development Division.
  • Assist the team with additional responsibilities and participate in cross-divisional meetings regarding Salesforce and project management platforms.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with CRM databases; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Willingness to learn wealth screening and planned giving databases (e.g., IWave/Kindsight, FreeWill).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, organize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fundraising experience and knowledge of project management platforms are pluses.
  • Interest or experience in social sciences, reproductive health, rights, and justice is a plus.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is desirable.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $89,092 to $133,900, commensurate with experience. The position is based in New York or DC, with a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence 8 days/month in NYC. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, commuting subsidy, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.
