Job summary

SAP Labs, LLC is hiring a Development Architect in Palo Alto, CA to define, govern, and implement applications architecture with the implementation team. Hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include coordinating architectural guidance, documenting standards, and ensuring high-quality end-to-end business processes. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience, plus 2 years in microservices, containers, Kubernetes, service mesh, and FinOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study with seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience; or a Master’s degree with five years of experience.
• Experience must include five years in Architecture Design, Documentation, Governance and CI/CD.
• Experience must include two years in Microservices, Containers or Kubernetes, Service Mesh, SAP BTP and related services, and TCO/FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Drive alignment of architecture concepts and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Provide guidance on technology aspects and opportunities for reuse of architecture concepts.
• Propose cross-development tasks for cross initiatives and align with stakeholders on dependencies, feasibility, readiness and compliance.
• Coach and monitor implementation teams on architecture impact; review design documents for compliance with standards.
• Ensure continuous and efficient delivery of end-to-end business processes.
