Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Senior Development Accountant to support capital investment activities, month-end close, and financial reporting for data center facilities. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background in construction or real estate related areas, with 3+ years relevant experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3+ years of accounting experience (project accounting, GL, fixed assets)

Responsibilities

Provide guidance on accounting processes and complex analyses
Manage month-end close: journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations
Prepare income statement and balance sheet analysis and assist with financial statements
Review capital purchases for accurate GL coding and budgeting alignment
Assist with audits and implementing system/process upgrades as needed
