Description

We are seeking a hands‑on techno-functional Senior Developer to build, configure, integrate, and support enterprise procurement technology solutions. This role combines software development and integration engineering with practical understanding of procurement processes, platform capabilities, and business workflows.

The individual will work across Coupa, smart intake and orchestration platforms, and related Source-to-Pay applications. In partnership with Procurement, Finance, product owners, architects, and vendors, this person will translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions—using platform configuration, APIs, integrations, custom development, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.

This is an engineering delivery role with functional ownership—not a pure software engineering position, a SaaS administrator, or a product management role. The successful candidate will be comfortable writing code, configuring products, solving integration problems, and supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, enhance, test, deploy, and support procurement applications, including Coupa and intake/orchestration solutions, across requisitioning, approvals, purchasing, supplier processes, invoicing, and related workflows.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance stakeholders to understand current processes, identify gaps, document requirements and controls, and translate needs into functional designs, user stories, technical specifications, and working solutions.
  • Design, develop, and support integrations between procurement platforms and enterprise systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite, future ERP solutions, supplier systems, identity services, and data platforms using APIs, middleware, events, and file-based interfaces.
  • Develop scripts, services, reusable components, data mappings, workflow extensions, and automation to fill justified gaps in SaaS capabilities while favoring maintainable, upgrade-safe platform configurations.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI and agentic workflow use cases, such as intelligent intake, request classification and routing, supplier information validation, document extraction, exception triage, and employee self-service.
  • Actively collaborate with enterprise AI PODs, solution architects, and engineering teams to design, prototype, build, test, integrate, deploy, and support AI-enabled procurement workflows. Contribute hands‑on development of APIs, tool integrations, workflow logic, data access, and production controls rather than serving only as a requirements liaison.
  • Own technical execution across the lifecycle: solution evaluation, estimation, development, unit/integration testing, UAT support, release readiness, deployment, stabilization, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot end-to-end issues involving platform configuration, approval workflows, APIs, transformations, ERP interfaces, authentication, and data reconciliation; perform root‑cause analysis and implement durable fixes.
  • Collaborate with SaaS vendors, implementation partners, enterprise AI PODs, architects, security teams, and internal engineering teams on solution designs, platform releases, integration patterns, product enhancements, and production escalations.
  • Contribute to product backlog refinement, technical priorities, design reviews, documentation, CI/CD, automated testing, and operational support; recommend build‑versus‑configure‑versus‑buy decisions with clear tradeoffs.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise application development, SaaS platform configuration, systems integration, or application support, including hands‑on technical delivery.
  • Experience in a techno‑functional role combining development or integration work with business process analysis, requirements definition, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Hands‑on experience with Coupa or another enterprise procurement/Source‑to‑Pay platform; ability to configure workflows, approvals, roles, data, and interfaces and diagnose functional production issues.
  • Practical understanding of procurement processes such as intake, supplier onboarding, requisition‑to‑purchase‑order, approvals, invoice processing, and controls.
  • Strong experience developing and troubleshooting REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, authentication mechanisms, data mapping/transformation, and synchronous or asynchronous integrations.
  • Ability to write and maintain production‑quality code or automation scripts using a language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or an equivalent platform‑supported technology; working SQL skills.
  • Experience with Git, testing, release management, logging/monitoring, and production incident support; ability to work independently across business and technology teams.
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Direct Coupa configuration and integration experience, including Procure‑to‑Pay, supplier management, sourcing, or invoicing; experience with a smart intake/orchestration product.
  • Experience integrating SaaS procurement products with Oracle E‑Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Workday, or similar enterprise platforms; exposure to middleware or iPaaS solutions.
  • Experience contributing hands‑on to cross‑functional AI or automation delivery, including workflow development, API/tool integrations, low‑code automation, LLM‑enabled applications, or agent orchestration; ability to work effectively with specialized AI engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with AI governance concepts, including prompt evaluation, guardrails, access permissions, human‑in‑the‑loop approvals, data protection, audit trails, and exception handling.
  • Experience with AWS or comparable cloud services, event‑driven architectures, CI/CD, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of SOX‑related controls, segregation of duties, auditability, change management, and security requirements in large enterprises.
What Success Looks Like
  • Procurement enhancements and intake workflows are delivered with strong business alignment and limited unnecessary customization.
  • Integrations are reliable, monitored, documented, and easy to troubleshoot; recurring manual interventions and production issues decline.
  • AI opportunities are progressed with enterprise AI PODs from discovery and proof of concept into governed production workflows, with direct technical contributions, defined ownership, and measurable operational outcomes.
  • The role is trusted by Procurement stakeholders as a functional partner and by Engineering as a hands‑on technical contributor.

The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job‑related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long‑term incentive compensation awards.
