Olive Jar Digital Ltd is seeking a Senior Developer with strong Python and Django skills to deliver secure, scalable software for public sector projects. You will join Agile, multidisciplinary teams to take projects from Discovery to Live, while aligning with Government Service Standard and best practices.

You’ll design and implement web apps, APIs and integrations, maintain clean code, and help drive performance, security and reliability improvements across the stack.

• Good understanding of software engineering principles, testing, version control and CI/CD practices.

Senior Developer

About the role

Olive Jar Digital is looking for an experienced Senior Developer specialising in Python and Django to support the delivery of digital transformation projects across the public sector. (Active SC Clearance needed)

You’ll work within multidisciplinary Agile teams, developing and maintaining secure, scalable and high-quality software solutions. Drawing on your software engineering and consultancy experience, you’ll contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from Discovery through to Live, helping clients deliver services that meet user needs and Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.

What you’ll be doing

About you

• Public sector, consultancy or GDS experience, with an understanding of the Government Service Standard, would be advantageous.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
