Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer III for the Programming Foundations team.

You will design and build developer tools used by Amazon engineers, maintain build tools, compilers, and package managers, and collaborate across teams to understand pain points and deliver reliable tooling. You will mentor others and contribute to a culture of excellence in language tooling and software foundations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build developer tools that Amazon engineers use every day and collaborate with Amazon teams to address pain points.
• Write and review code, mentor teammates, and help others debug issues with our tools.
