Job summary

Legora seeks a senior Detection Engineer to own end-to-end security monitoring and incident response from our Manhattan office. You will build production-grade detections, automate responses, and drive threat hunts across endpoints, identities, cloud, and AI systems.

You’ll collaborate with Legal, Customer Trust, and Engineering to reduce dwell time and improve protections while working in an on-site team at Union Square.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in detection engineering, incident response, or security operations.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience using LLMs and agents in security workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own detection and response across endpoints, identity, cloud workloads, SaaS, and AI systems.
• Build detections as production software and deploy via CI/CD.
• Develop threat models, telemetry, and response playbooks for AI systems.
• Build and supervise agents for triage, enrichment, and investigation.
• Coordinate incident response during on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
