Axiom Space in Town of Texas, Wisconsin, seeks a Senior Detection Engineer to lead the end-to-end detection lifecycle, map modern adversaries to MITRE ATT&CK, and implement automated telemetry and responses between space-grade and terrestrial networks.

You will act as a technical authority for monitoring standards, ensuring ITAR/EAR/NIST compliance, and driving incident response, purple team exercises, and threat hunting in a fast-paced, mission-driven team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field with 7+ years in Detection Engineering or SOC.
• CISSP, GCIA, GCDA, GDAT, or equivalent certifications are highly desired.
• Experience delivering in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with strong problem solving.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end detection lifecycle: requirements, log ingestion, query authoring, and alert tuning.
• Research adversary TTPs and map coverage to MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Design and maintain complex telemetry pipelines for fast investigations.
• Architect automated response playbooks to reduce false positives and speed containment.
• Ensure ITAR/EAR compliance and align with NIST 800-53/171 auditing controls.
• Execute red team simulations to validate detection efficacy and identify gaps.
• Conduct threat hunts and provide deep dive forensic log analysis during incidents.
• Maintain detection logic with version control and CI/CD for repeatability.
