Job summary

Standard Iron & Metal Co. seeks a detailer with strong Tekla Structures skills to lead Division 05 architectural metals detailing.

You will supervise detailing staff, coordinate with project managers, engineers and fabricators, and ensure all models and drawings meet project schedules and quality standards. Responsibilities include producing submittal packages, maintaining model integrity, integrating field measurements, and guiding BIM workflows across teams, while promoting the company’s core

Qualifications

• Trade school, technical degree or equivalent in structural or miscellaneous metals detailing.
• Five or more years detailing Division 05 architectural metals packages.
• Tekla Structures proficiency with custom components/templates and NC output.
• Supervisory experience managing detailing staff and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Review projects and coordinate with Project Managers and detailing staff.
• Produce complete submittal packages and NC data on schedule.
• Maintain Tekla Structures models with accurate material lists and fabrication data.
• Train in-house staff on Tekla Structures workflows and standards.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and steel erectors to resolve issues.
• Represent the company in meetings with architects and contractors.
