Zusammenfassung

The D. E. Shaw Group is seeking an experienced Senior Designer for an 18-month assignment in New York to lead design for our Administration team.

This full-time role involves space planning, collaborating with consultants, and ensuring design intent across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include site surveys, coordination with FF&E, and overseeing construction administration and punch-list resolution to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or related field required.
• Eight to ten years of corporate workplace design experience on large spaces (~100k sq ft is preferred).
• Experience designing cafés and workplace amenities is highly desirable.
• Self-sufficient with limited supervision and strong problem-solving.
• Deep knowledge of detailing, construction docs, materials, codes incl. accessibility/ADA.
• FF&E expertise including procurement, finishes and installation coordination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite; Enscape and NCIDQ preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Independently develop space plans, block plans, stacking diagrams and test fits.
• Coordinate with external architectural/interior design consultants and vendors.
• Review construction drawings and shop drawings for design intent.
• Provide construction administration support including site observations and RFI review.
• Coordinate with internal teams to translate business needs into design solutions.
• Own smaller workplace projects from concept through completion, including surveys and furniture coordination.
