Job summary

Side is seeking a Senior Designer to help define and deliver gameplay, systems and player experiences for a next-generation Unreal Engine 5 project. You will shape interactive environments, prototype interactions, and refine user experiences within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes strong systems design, collaboration with engineering, art and production, and mentoring other designers to elevate design quality across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Senior Designer on shipped titles with ownership of gameplay/systems from concept to release.
• Experience shipping projects in Unreal Engine with collaboration across engineering, art, and production teams.
• Strong systems design skills focusing on balanced, scalable gameplay, progression, usability and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver engaging gameplay systems and player experiences for an Unreal Engine 5 project.
• Collaborate with engineering, art and production teams to realize design vision.
• Mentor junior designers and champion design quality throughout development.
• Prototype interactions and iterate based on feedback from stakeholders.
