Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Piping Designer to join our team. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform work on design and 3D layout of moderate to complex advanced scope and may serve as Design Area Lead.

In this role, you will work closely with other team members to develop and check complex piping drawings, including plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, and sketches. You will also contribute to the piping input to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), updates to the master P&ID, and the piping line list. Your expertise will ensure the quality and accuracy of our piping design team’s work and provide crucial assistance to construction and pipe fabrication personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver quality work and adhere to the Quality System.
  2. Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans.
  3. Collaborate closely with other discipline functions to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Perform 3D piping layout and equipment modeling of moderate to advanced complexity.
  5. Produce and check complex piping drawings, including plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, and sketches.
  6. Review vendor drawings and provide comments.
  7. Markup P&IDs if required.
  8. Conduct review of model using 3D review platform and create 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.
  9. Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset.
  10. Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
  11. Participate in people development through mentoring of less experienced Designers, including performance appraisal input and counseling.
  12. Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities.
  13. Support Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives.
  14. Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  15. Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
  16. Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Policies.
  17. Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
  18. May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
  19. Provide assistance to construction and pipe fabrication personnel.
  20. Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.
