Job summary

Critical Mass in Chicago is seeking a Senior Designer to translate concepts into compelling video and graphic storytelling across campaigns and digital channels, blending motion, design, and technology. You will edit and deliver high‑quality video content, craft motion graphics and branded assets, and collaborate with creative directors, designers, copywriters, strategists, and clients.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Figma is required, with a portfolio that demonstrates range,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• A portfolio that demonstrates range, craft, and a strong point of view.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Concept, edit and deliver high-quality video content across brand, campaign, social, and digital experiences.
• Craft compelling motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to drive engagement.
• Create and integrate animated graphic elements, title treatments, animations, and branded assets.
• Develop static graphics and branded assets to maintain visual cohesion across touchpoints.
• Translate creative briefs and strategic objectives into compelling visual solutions.
• Collaborate with creative directors, designers, copywriters, strategists, and clients throughout the production process.
• Use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Figma to deliver polished content.
• Leverage AI tools as part of workflow and stay informed on industry trends.
• Present creative rationale and editorial decisions to teams and clients.
• Contribute to a culture of creative excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
