Job summary

AOI is seeking a Senior Designer specialized in prefabricated construction to advance modular interior environments in Omaha. You will translate architectural drawings into manufacturing models, collaborate across teams, ensure code compliance, and support project delivery with accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes creative problem solving, technical excellence, and collaboration to deliver high-performing spaces for commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial interior design, architecture, or prefabricated construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction documents.
• Proficiency with Revit, BIM workflows; experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative interior environments using DIRTT ICE software translating drawings into manufacturing models, shop drawings, renderings, and docs.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, architects, contractors, and clients to coordinate designs and address changes.
• Apply building codes and ADA requirements to create compliant, cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality reviews of drawings and documentation; support permitting and manufacturing deliverables.
• Maintain DIRTT libraries and templates; mentor junior designers and share expertise.
• Stay updated on modular construction innovations and industry best practices.
